LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — The Metropolis of East Lansing introduced Thursday that Jennifer Brown, the interim police chief, was chosen to be the brand new chief of the East Lansing Police Division.
“I am honored to accept the position of Chief of Police for the City of East Lansing,” Brown mentioned. “Serving my community is a privilege, and I am committed to fostering strong relationships between law enforcement and the people we serve. I look forward to working alongside our dedicated officers, city leaders and residents to ensure safety, inclusivity and excellence in policing.”

Brown had been serving because the interim chief of the East Lansing Police Division since December 2024. She joined the division as deputy chief in December 2023.
