LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — The Metropolis of Owosso is looking for residents keen to let town plant timber on their property—freed from cost—this fall. The town is presently working to use to the 2025 Customers Power Neighborhood Road and Boulevard Tree Planting Grant Program.

In case you are all for having a tree planted in your property, ship an electronic mail to [email protected] or message the Metropolis of Owosso Authorities Fb web page.

Whereas they are going to attempt to honor species requests, town says nursery inventory and area restrictions would possibly restrict the kind of tree that could possibly be safely planted in your property—if any in any respect.

The town says the tree should be planted between the road and sidewalk, and metropolis ordinance requires sure distances between timber on this space. Different timber, underground utilities, previous tree stumps or roots, space measurement, and road lights would possibly make your property ineligible for planting.

In case you have overhead utility traces in your property, town can solely plant a small tree species.

The town will plant the timber this October.
