Michigan declares grant recipients for renewable vitality, electrification initiatives

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — The Michigan Public Service Fee (MPSC) has introduced the 14 recipients of practically $5 million in grants for renewable vitality and electrification initiatives.

The MPSC grant program was developed by way of Public Act 121 of 2024 and the Fiscal Yr 2025 funds act. The act offered a complete of $4.875 million to be awarded.

Grants have to be used for planning, growing, designing, buying, or establishing renewable vitality and electrification infrastructure initiatives.

This system adopted the standards outlined within the MI Well being Local weather Plan, prioritizing initiatives positioned inside distressed areas of the state.
