The MDHHS stories that in 2023, 607 infants below the age of 1 died, and the state’s toddler mortality charge declined to six.1 toddler deaths per 1,000 stay births.
Toddler demise numbers have declined since 2022, with 650 deaths and 6.3 deaths per 1,000 stay births occurring that 12 months.
MDHHS hosted the Maternal Toddler Well being Summit this week in Kalamazoo to proceed efforts to enhance the well being of mothers and infants in Michigan.
