LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Michigan has introduced the recipients of the “Make it in Michigan” Mobility Prototyping Grant winners, with chosen tasks receiving a complete of $2 million in funding.
The Michigan Workplace of Future Mobility and Electrification (OFME) and the Michigan Workplace of Protection and Aerospace Innovation (ODAI) report that the grant program awards as much as $100,000 per firm to “accelerate product development, prototyping, and manufacturing readiness for innovations spanning air, ground, and maritime mobility, including autonomous systems, drones, and critical mobility components.”
“These projects represent the ingenuity powering Michigan’s next generation of mobility and defense solutions,” Justine Johnson, Chief Mobility Officer, Michigan Financial Growth Company (MEDC), stated in a information launch despatched to six Information.
“By supporting more prototyping, supplier engagement, and early production in Michigan, we’re strengthening our state’s industrial base, creating good-paying jobs, and ensuring that breakthrough technologies are designed, built, and scaled right here at home. Congratulations to this year’s awardees.”
