LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — President Donald Trump has authorized Michigan’s request for a catastrophe declaration to assist communities get well from the massive ice storm that struck northern Michigan earlier this yr. 

The State of Michigan says that the declaration opens the trail for the Federal Emergency Administration Company (FEMA) Public Help to supply help to Alcona, Alpena, Antrim, Charlevoix, Cheboygan, Crawford, Emmet, Kalkaska, Mackinac, Montmorency, Oscoda, Otsego, and Presque Isle Counties and the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians.
