LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Michigan State College’s Board of Trustees has voted in favor of the set up of a $3.2 million memorial to recollect these affected by the tragic mass capturing on February 13, 2023.
MSU says the ultimate choice was made by President Kevin M. Guskiewicz, Ph.D., after reviewing suggestions from the board and the MSU group.

“The violence our campus endured on the evening of Feb. 13, 2023, has impacted each of us in deeply personal ways,” Guskiewicz stated in a information launch despatched to six Information. “This permanent memorial offers a place for reflection, healing and remembrance — a space where our community can honor the lives lost and those who were injured and affected.”
The college will assemble a memorial fountain, benches, and surrounding plantings to exchange the present fountain on the Outdated Horticulture Gardens on campus. The memorial’s design incorporates parts equivalent to water, white marble, split-faced black granite and seasonal plantings.
