ST. LOUIS, Mo. (WLNS) – For the primary time since Ryan Miller in 2001, Michigan State’s hockey program has a Hobey Baker winner.
On Friday, it was introduced that MSU junior Isaac Howard has earned the Hobey Baker Award, which is given to one of the best participant in school hockey.
Howard led the Huge Ten with 26 targets and was named the Huge Ten Participant of the 12 months this previous season. He completed his season with 52 factors on 26 targets and 26 assists.
Earlier within the week, reviews began popping out that Howard can be returning to Michigan State for his senior season after he and the Tampa Bay Lightning could not agree on a deal.
Howard was drafted within the first spherical of the 2022 NHL Draft by the Lightning and has till Aug. 15, 2026, to signal with the workforce. Howard can grow to be an unrestricted free agent and signal with any workforce if he chooses to not signal by subsequent yr’s deadline.
