EAST LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — After enjoying a giant half within the Michigan State males’s basketball staff successful a Large Ten title, Jase Richardson is popping professional.
The standout freshman introduced on his social media on Tuesday he’s declaring for the NBA Draft.
“I’m extremely grateful to Coach Izzo and the entire Michigan State coaching staff for the opportunity to represent Michigan State Basketball,” Richardson stated in his submit.
Seen as a first-round draft decide by many specialists, Richardson averaged 12.1 factors per sport this season whereas capturing 49.3% from the sector.
Richardson is the son of former Spartan Jason Richardson and was named to the Large Ten’s all-freshman staff and the all-conference third staff this season.
“I wouldn’t be here without the love, sacrifice and support of my family,” Richardson stated on social media. “This is an exciting step in my journey, and I’m looking forward to see what GOD has planned for me.”
Richardson made his first begin of the season on Feb. 8 towards Oregon and scored a career-high 29 factors. He would begin the ultimate 15 video games of the season for Michigan State and scored in double digits in 14 of them.
If Richardson is chosen within the first spherical of the NBA Draft, he could be Tom Izzo’s first first-round decide since Jaren Jackson Jr. was chosen with the No. 4 total decide within the 2018 NBA Draft.
