Michigan to decrease flags to honor Minneapolis capturing victims

Michigan to decrease flags to honor Minneapolis capturing victims

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Gov. Gretchen Whitmer has ordered U.S. and Michigan flags on the State Capitol Advanced and all public buildings throughout Michigan to be lowered to half-staff in honor of the victims of a capturing at Annunciation Catholic Faculty in Minneapolis, MN.

The capturing claimed the lives of two younger youngsters and injured 17 individuals who had been attending a Wednesday morning Mass.

“Michiganders’ hearts are with the scholars, households, and lecturers of Annunciation Catholic Faculty in Minneapolis, Minnesota,” stated Whitmer in a information launch despatched to six Information.

“To honor those we have lost, I am ordering flags to be lowered across Michigan. Let’s also keep those who were injured and in the hospital in our thoughts,” said Whitmer. “We are grateful to all the first responders and medical professionals for their hard work and steadfast in our belief that every child deserves to learn and grow up without fearing for their life.”

“I am devastated and angered by the tragic shooting in Minneapolis today. A new school year should bring hope and laughter, not death and heartbreak,” stated Lieutenant Governor Garlin Gilchrist II in a information launch despatched to six Information.
