Mid-Michigan Lions followers get hyped for the playoff sport

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) – Followers are already getting fired up for Saturday’s Detroit Lions playoff sport towards the Washington Commanders. The We Need Extra tour made three stops in Mid-Michigan Thursday and followers say One Satisfaction is about way more than soccer. 

“When I had the opportunity to come and drive this bus it humbled me because I’ve been a Lions fan since I was a little guy,” tour bus driver Hurricane Heathfield mentioned. “This bus, we’re taking it all the way to New Orleans to the Super Bowl.”

Followers are already getting fired up for Saturday’s Detroit Lions playoff sport towards the Washington Commanders. (WLNS)

Now in his 70s, he remembers ready and wishing for years for a Lions season like this one. On the tour, he’s seen fan after fan lining up open air for a shot to point out their One Satisfaction regardless of current chilly snaps transferring by way of Michigan.

“The people of Michigan got grit just like the Lions,” mentioned Heathfield. “In my lifetime I can’t remember a more unifying situation for the whole state. Everybody is on fire.”

Heathfield says the fan connection goes past the sector, stadium, and TV screens—very like a household.

Makenzie Kokko was one of many first in line at Thursday’s tour cease. She couldn’t assist however take into consideration her family.

“My dad was a huge Lions fan. Unfortunately, he passed away in 2019. When we are watching the games I just get tears because I wish that he could see how amazing they’re doing,” mentioned Kokko.
