Minister Tulip Siddiq caught up in Bangladesh court docket anti-corruption probe

Labour’s anti-corruption minister has been named in court docket paperwork detailing claims her household embezzled billions of kilos from a nuclear energy undertaking in Bangladesh.

The PM’s official spokesperson stated Ms Siddiq had “denied any involvement in the claims” of embezzlement and continued to keep up her accountability as a minister overseeing UK anti-corruption efforts.

A spokesperson for the celebration has been quoted saying the embezzlement claims are “fabricated”.
