The corporate launched dolls of characters performed by British actress Cynthia Erivo and US singer Ariana Grande within the movie model of the hit musical.

However as an alternative of that includes an deal with to the film’s web site, a porn web site sharing the identify of the film was mistakenly printed on the packaging.

The error was noticed final month and the dolls have been recalled on 11 November.

A category motion lawsuit has now been filed in federal courtroom in Los Angeles.

Court docket paperwork state Holly Ricketson from South Carolina gave a doll to her daughter who then visited an grownup leisure web site by means of the hyperlink.

She stated her baby confirmed her hardcore pictures and each have been “horrified” by what they noticed, struggling emotional misery.

Ms Ricketson stated she wouldn’t have purchased the doll had she recognized concerning the mistake and claimed Mattel had not supplied a refund regardless of recalling the dolls.

The lawsuit stated the dolls have been packaged in bins with an “inexcusable error”.

Mattel has declined to touch upon the lawsuit, however stated in an announcement that gross sales of Depraved dolls with right packaging have resumed in shops and on-line.

When the error was initially recognized, the California-based toymaker stated it “deeply regrets” the misprint, which was “not appropriate for children”, saying it had supposed to direct clients to the WickedMovie.com web page.

Mattel recommends the dolls for youngsters aged 4 and up.

The lawsuit seeks not less than $5m (£3.94m) in damages for anybody within the US who purchased Depraved dolls with the error on their packaging.

It accuses Mattel of negligence, promoting merchandise unfit on the market, and violating California client safety legal guidelines.
