MSU college students react to Harris’ upcoming go to

MSU college students react to Harris’ upcoming go to

EAST LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Presidential candidate Vice President Kamala Harris can be making her 2nd Lansing-area cease this election season on Sunday. 

Harris is scheduled to go to Michigan State College on Nov. third., and can be holding a rally on campus with younger voters at 6:30 p.m. 

Earlier than she arrives in Lansing, she is going to make numerous stops in Detroit—at a church after which at an area restaurant. 

Luke Hausner, a freshman, at MSU, says he was excited when he first heard the information of her go to. 

“I think that’s pretty exciting,” said Hausner. “I always think that when political candidates try to get the younger generation involved. It can be really important for representing like a large group of people.” 

Rowan Mauldin, a sophomore who already forged his vote, says it’s vital to have a presidential candidate on campus to get extra younger individuals concerned. 

“I believe it is a massive deal. Something to assist carry extra consciousness out to vote,” stated Mauldin. 

He says voting is a civic obligation for individuals his age in the event that they wish to see progress. 

“People need to get more involved,” stated Mauldin. “All we complain about is how the old folks are dominating everything, while the easy solution is to go out and vote for god’s sake.”

Though Hausner says he would not plan on attending the rally and is not a Harris supporter, he believes she might have a huge effect. 

“Obviously I definitely respect both parties, and I think she could bring great things to our country too,” stated Hausner. 

That is Harris’ eleventh journey to Michigan, her sixth cease in Detroit, and her 2nd cease in Lansing. 

Each candidates have been making numerous stops in Michigan with solely three extra days to go for the election.
