MSU employees to rally for union recognition

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — The Union of Non-Tenure Observe School (UNTF) and the Union of Tenure System School (UTSF) will maintain a rally on Oct. 25 at 11:00 a.m. outdoors of the Hannah Administration Constructing.

The unions are looking for official recognition by the Michigan State Board of Trustees.

The unions report that regardless of adopting a neutrality decision in December of 2021, which acknowledged staff proper to assemble, the Board of Trustees has didn’t honor their dedication to this decision.

Fmr. Michigan State College Trustee, Lansing chief and native developer Joel Ferguson has died

“Regardless of our efforts of working along with directors…the Workplaces of Worker Relationsand School and Educational Employees Affairs refuse to acknowledge the Extension Union, using anobstructionist strategy eerily just like the Amazons and Starbucks of the world,” stated UNTF President Victor Rodriguez-Pereira in an tackle to the Board of Trustees final June.

Our message is evident. We name on MSU directors to comply with the Board’s binding neutralityresolution and cease obstructing union recognition. We is not going to be silenced by bureaucraticmaneuvers that erode democratic rights at our public establishment.

Unions for All: Rally for Union Recognition

All members of the Michigan State Group are welcome to attend the demonstration.
