Kelly was just lately identified with stage three breast most cancers and her husband Matt, who’s now an assistant coach at Michigan, was a professional hockey teammate of MSU head coach Adam Nightingale.

“When you’re playing in the East Coast League, you’re living in apartments,” Nightingale stated. “His wife, Kelly, and my wife, Kristin, became good friends. Even when he coached in Chicago, we’d travel through, and they got five kids, so we’d bring all the kids and hang out for a day or two.”

“Just talking with USA Hockey, there was an opportunity to partner up and give $5 of each ticket to a cause and we thought this was a great cause. Matt is a heck of a coach and an even better person.
