MSU's Central Companies constructing east of Spartan Stadium demolished

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Heavy gear started to tear down the Central Companies constructing on Michigan State’s campus earlier this summer season. The undertaking started on the finish of June and is anticipated to final by September.

The constructing was residence to MSU’s Transportation Companies division, which is now situated at College Companies at 169 Service Highway.

In December of 2024, MSU’s Board of Trustees accredited a three-phase plan for Spartan Stadium, residence to Michigan State soccer. The plan consists of $28 million in spending.

The plan consists of the alternative of videoboards, renovating the West Tower, and modernizing the remainder of the stadium.

The brand new videoboards are anticipated to value a complete of $10 million and are anticipated to be put in for this season. The West Tower renovations will embody the suites and membership areas on the fourth, seventh, and eighth flooring for $18 million.

Modernization of the stadium would come with an improved concourse, concessions, bogs, and different repairs and upgrades.
