Murder investigated after roommates argue

Murder investigated after roommates argue

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — The Michigan State Police are investigating a murder after responding to a name on the 6000 block of Sargent Rd in Helpful Township at round 1:00 a.m. Friday about an argument between two roommates.

Police say that when the caller went downstairs to test on the 2, he discovered one of many roommates, a 57-year-old man, injured and mendacity on the ground, and that the suspect, a 35-year-old man from Howell, ran away from the house. The 57-year-old man was pronounced lifeless on the scene.

Troopers with K9s and deputies from the Livingston County Sheriff’s Division tried to trace him down.

At round 2:25 a.m., somebody residing within the 5700 block of Millett Highway known as 911 to report somebody banging on the door. Deputies arrived on the scene and arrested him after studying it was the person they have been on the lookout for.

MSP shouldn’t be releasing the reason for demise, if/what weapons are used, however they are saying there isn’t any menace to the general public.
