Native legislation enforcement paints with youngsters

EAST LANSING, Mich.(WLNS)—Native legislation enforcement spent high quality time with Lansing’s youthful residents at a particular occasion. 

The East Lansing Police partnered with the East Lansing Library to convey neighborhood members for his or her ‘Paint with Police’ occasion Saturday.

Every baby decorates a police automotive, spends time with East Lansing PD’s new consolation neighborhood K-9 ‘Silas,’ and listens to storytime by one of many officers. 

Lt. Adrian Ojerio, an officer with East Lansing PD says the occasion was a chance for youths and their dad and mom to satisfy native legislation enforcement of their neighborhood. 

“It’s a wonderful opportunity to engage in the community. That positive interaction that I personally have with the community is really fulfilling,” said Ojerio. “It’s why I signed up to do law enforcement. So again, it brings a lot of smiles, not only to the community but to me personally.”
