Native non-profits makes costume procuring inexpensive

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — An area non-profit let lots of of excessive schoolers decide their good homecoming outfit on Sunday, serving to their desires come true for an inexpensive value.

eleventh graders Bailey Villerot and Cassie Crowell have been among the many dozens of women looking for the precise costume at Cinderella’s Closet in Howell.

“Last year I came and I got a cute dress that was blue and long that I love a lot,” Villerot stated.

The clothes are priced at $25 every, and organizers say the entire proceeds will go to the LACASA Middle, a neighborhood non-profit that helps victims of home violence, sexual assault, and baby abuse.

To make the costume procuring much more magical, Miss Michigan 2025 Hannah Palmer visited the closet as a particular visitor to assist LACASA’s mission in empowering girls.

“Finding what helps you to feel the most beautiful in your skin, but also supporting a mission that is so near and dear to my heart and making sure that La Casa has the funds that they so desperately need to support women getting out of these situations,” Palmer stated.

Alayna Finest, a youth prevention educator, says the occasion additionally goals to boost consciousness about shallowness and self-respect.

“There’s honestly nothing more gratifying than seeing a girl come in and put on a dress that fits them perfectly. They feel beautiful. They look beautiful. And it’s just really great for our community to have this,” Finest stated.

Villerot says there’s nothing extra stunning than supporting a very good trigger.

“It makes me feel really great. I’m so glad that I can help out other people through this,” Villerot stated.

Over 200 clothes have been donated, and greater than 180 clothes have been offered.
