Native parks in Eaton County to obtain 0,000 grant for upgrades

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS)– Native parks in Eaton County are getting an improve. It was introduced {that a} $400,000 grant will probably be distributed to assist enhancements throughout the county.

In line with the Eaton County Group Grant Program, the grant cash will assist cowl planning, buying, preliminary engineering, design, and building prices for park tasks and open inexperienced areas.

“We are thrilled to get this funding to local parks,” stated Jim Mott, Eaton County Board Chair. “I want to thank all the communities that applied for funding this year. Though we couldn’t fund every ask, we look forward to seeing your applications next year.”

The Eaton County Parks Millage was handed in November 2022. The ten-year initiative will generate $2.2 million yearly to assist county and native park tasks, in response to Eaton County officers.
