Oakland County man dealing with first-degree homicide cost in loss of life of his fiancée

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Michael Devon Webb, 21, has been charged with first-degree homicide within the capturing loss of life of his fiancée, 23-year-old Rachel Renee Wooten. Oakland County prosecutors are calling it a “domestic violence tragedy.”

Authorities say Webb and Wooten had been engaged and had a 6-month-old baby collectively who was discovered inside the house unhurt after the incident.

The Oakland County Sheriff’s Workplace says they acquired a name on April 15 from Webb saying he by accident shot himself and his fiancée whereas cleansing his gun inside their dwelling within the 200 block of Maple in Highland Township.

When deputies arrived on the scene, prosecutors say they discovered each Webb and Wooten within the dwelling. Wooten had been shot within the neck at “very close range,” and was pronounced useless on the scene.

Webb had a non-fatal gunshot wound, which the prosecutor’s workplace says seems to be from the identical bullet that killed Wooten.

Webb was arrested and is at the moment being held with out bond within the Oakland County Jail on fees of first-degree homicide and felony firearm.
