Phillip Schofield to make TV return with ‘story of survival’

Phillip Schofield has introduced he’ll return to tv – 16 months after his departure from ITV’s This Morning.

The TV star will seem on a Channel 5 particular known as Forged Away.

The three-part sequence will see the previous presenter marooned on a tropical island off the coast of Madagascar.

In a publish on Instagram, he stated: “Now you know how I spent my Summer! Alone for 10 days, no food, no water, no crew.

“My story of survival, each on a desert island and off it.”

Schofield, 62, resigned from ITV final Could after he admitted to an “unwise but not illegal” affair with a youthful male colleague.

He stated on the time he had “lost everything” after admitting to the affair, and that the fallout had had a “catastrophic effect” on his thoughts.

Over the weekend, Channel 5 posted a brief clip of an unidentified star strolling throughout a distant seashore, because it teased its “brand new” desert island programme on social media.

After being revealed because the celeb, Schofield stated: “This is most definitely a first for me and the only thing I felt compelled to do. It appealed to me on so many levels.

“I’ve lately had plenty of time to consider my life, what went proper and what went improper, however I’ve at all times had the protected arms of family and friends wrapped round me. This time it is simply me.”

An exterior assessment discovered that ITV made “considerable efforts” to search out out the reality about an alleged relationship between Schofield and a runner on This Morning in 2019 however was “unable to uncover the relevant evidence” till the presenter’s personal admission.
