Police arrest suspect after chase, two house invasions in Meridian Twp.

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — The Meridian Township Police Division arrested a suspect on Friday following a chase and two house invasions.

Police report that an officer stopped the suspect, who has not been recognized, whereas they had been driving a bicycle close to the intersection of Grand River Ave. and Okemos Rd. at round 11:30 p.m.

The officer found the suspect had an lively arrest warrant through the cease. The suspect bumped into a close-by neighborhood when the officer tried to convey them into custody.

The officer chased after the suspect however overpassed them after an unspecified period of time.

Police report {that a} canine unit and a drone had been used to help throughout the next search.

At round 11:45 p.m., officers responded to the 4900 block of Grandview Ave. after receiving experiences of a house invasion in progress.

Police report that the suspect had entered a residence however was eliminated by one of many occupants.

Round three minutes later, officers obtained one other report of a house invasion in progress within the 2100 block of Seminole Dr.

Officers arrived and arrested the suspect.

Police say that the suspect sustained minor accidents through the arrest and was handled at a hospital earlier than being taken to the Ingham County Jail.

No civilians or officers had been injured through the incident.
