Police video reveals man pulling gun on Jackson deputy, shoots self in hand

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — In a brand new video simply launched by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Division, a person shoots himself within the hand after pulling a gun on a deputy.

The incident occurred in September when James Mitchell Kerr was confronted by a Jackson County Sheriff’s Deputy. The sheriff’s workplace experiences that Deputy Robert Henderson had a warrant for Kerr’s arrest. In line with courtroom information, Kerr was wished for an alleged probation violation for failing to pay for youngster help.

Within the video, it reveals Kerr trying to drive away on a driving lawnmower. He ignored the deputy’s orders to cease and pulled a gun from his lawnmower after stepping off its deck.

The deputy instantly tases him and in some unspecified time in the future Kerr fires his gun, capturing himself within the hand.

Police arrested Kerr and he now faces expenses of assault with intent to homicide, carrying a firearm within the fee of a felony and resisting arrest.

After preliminary examination, the case was despatched to Jackson County Circuit Courtroom on Wednesday, Nov. 13.
