“Well, I was pretty upset, obviously,” mentioned Tim Volovsek, a person from Bathtub who claims his indicators have been destroyed. “It’s a politically charged season, right? people are acting on emotions and they shouldn’t be.” 

Volovsek says his indicators being destroyed have been an act of political intimidation, however what are the foundations for marketing campaign indicators?

“Clearly if you’re a mowing company, you know you should be moving stuff, not mowing it over,” says Lansing Metropolis Clerk Chris Swope.

Swope stresses that the indicators should be in your property and never within the public proper of method.

 “The city does have the right to remove yard signs that are in the right of way because that is public property and yard signs cannot be there by law,” mentioned Swope.

Nonetheless, Volovsek says his indicators have been on his property after they have been destroyed.

The Clinton County Street Fee and the mowing firm liable for the destruction have already reached out and apologized—and Volovsek has accepted.
