Pontiac man useless after Friday crash

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — A 52-year-old Pontiac man was killed in a automobile crash that occurred Friday.

The Oakland County Sheriff’s Workplace experiences that the crash occurred round 6:00 p.m. on Auburn Ave. close to South Francis St. and South Sanford St. in Pontiac.

A 69-year-old Pontiac lady was driving a 2021 Chevrolet Blazer and stopped on eastbound Auburn Ave. for a purple mild at South Sanford St. The 52-year-old Pontiac man, driving a 2023 Dodge Ram truck, was additionally touring eastbound in direction of the visitors mild.

The Ram crashed into the Chevrolet and went off the highway, hitting a crosswalk sign pole and a tree. The truck finally stopped in a close-by subject. The 52-year-old Pontiac man was not carrying his seat belt. He was taken to the hospital the place he was later pronounced useless.

Medication and alcohol don’t seem like an element within the crash.

The Sheriff’s Workplace says that preliminary proof signifies that the 52-year-old Pontiac man might have skilled a medical emergency that induced the crash.

The Sheriff’s Workplace says that the 69-year-old lady was carrying her seat belt and was not injured.

The crash is being investigated by the Oakland County Sheriff’s Workplace Crash Reconstruction Unit.
