Pre-cooked pasta recalled over listeria

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — The U.S. Division of Agriculture Meals Security and Inspection Service has expanded a recall of pre-cooked pasta meals over listeria micro organism contamination.

An alert from the company dated Sept. 25 reveals the remembers are linked to listeria contamination courting again to June.

The alert identifies the next merchandise as recalled:

Bought at Walmart: 12-oz. clear plastic tray packages labeled “MARKETSIDE LINGUINE WITH BEEF MEATBALLS & MARINARA SAUCE” with “best if used by” dates SEP 22, 2025; SEP 24, 2025; SEP 25, 2025; SEP 29, 2025; SEP 30, 2025; and OCT 01, 2025. The product bears institution quantity “EST. 50784” or “EST. 47718” contained in the USDA mark of inspection.

Bought at Dealer Joe’s: 16-oz. plastic tray packages labeled “TRADER JOE’S CAJUN STYLE BLACKENED CHICKEN BREAST FETTUCINE ALFREDO” with “best if used by” dates 9/20/2025, 9/24/2025, or 9/27/2025 printed on the entrance label of the packaging. The product bears institution quantity “P- 45288” contained in the USDA mark of inspection.

The company recommends the effected merchandise be returned to the shop or discarded.

The U.S. CDC studies 20 folks have been sickened by listeria micro organism since June, together with two in Michigan. Of these, 19 have been hospitalized and 4 have died. Instances have been present in 15 states.

Listeria could cause critical sickness in pregnant folks, folks over age 65 and folks with compromised immune methods, the CDC studies. The micro organism could cause untimely start or demise of a fetus.
