LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — On Wednesday, President Donald Trump participated in a swearing-in ceremony on the White Home for the Interim United States Lawyer for the District of Columbia, Jeanine Pirro.
Throughout this assembly, a Detroit Information reporter requested the president, “Will you pardon the people who are accused of conspiring to kidnap Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer?”
“I’m gonna look at it. I will take a look at it,” President Trump responded. “Uh, it’s been brought to my attention. I did watch the trial. It looked to me like somewhat of a railroad job. I’ll be honest with you. It looked to me like some people said some stupid things, you know, they were drinking, and I think they said stupid things, uh, but I’ll take a look at that and, uh, a lot of people are asking me that question from both sides actually. A lot of people think uh they got railroaded. A lot of people think they got railroaded and uh probably some people don’t.”
Ed Martin, the Justice Division’s new pardon legal professional, mentioned final week that he’ll take a “hard look” on the Whitmer kidnapping case.
