Puka Nacua misses Rams follow once more; punter Ethan Evans is out vs. Seahawks

Rams star receiver Puka Nacua is questionable and punter Ethan Evans is out for Sunday’s highway recreation towards the Seattle Seahawks, coach Sean McVay stated Friday.

Nacua left follow Thursday after aggravating a proper knee damage he initially suffered throughout coaching camp and aggravated within the season opener towards the Detroit Lions.

Nacua sat out 5 video games earlier than returning on Oct. 24 towards the Minnesota Vikings and catching seven passes for 106 yards.

McVay stated Nacua “banged his knee a little bit” Thursday however exams revealed no extra structural harm. The second-year professional didn’t follow Friday, however McVay stated he “wouldn’t bet against” Nacua taking part in towards the Seahawks.

“What our hope is that it was more of a scare than really anything,” McVay stated, including, “I mean you go to the ground, no matter whether you have history with a knee or not, and how physical he plays and how heavy sometimes he can go down, that’s what can occur.

“And so I don’t anticipate that being something that’s going to be an issue moving forward.”

Evans is affected by an unspecified sickness. McVay acknowledged that it was not COVID.

“We expect him to be OK,” McVay stated, “but it’s not like your typical flu.”

The Rams signed punter Ryan Sanborn to the follow squad Thursday and signed punter Ty Zentner to the follow squad Friday.

Evans had dealt with kickoffs, so placekicker Joshua Karty will tackle that position.

The Rams will look at Friday who will punt and maintain for field-goal and extra-point makes an attempt, McVay stated.

Offensive lineman Joe Noteboom (ankle) has made progress however he is not going to play Sunday, McVay stated.

Defensive lineman Neville Gallimore (shoulder) additionally shall be out. Security Kam Curl (knee), receiver Jordan Whittington (shoulder) and defensive again Charles Woods (toe) are questionable.
