LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Springport Township Police discovered “numerous” weapons and methamphetamine throughout a visitors cease Friday.
The Springport Township Police Division (Division) reviews in a Fb submit that officers made a visitors cease on Stark Rd. close to M-99 in Springport Twp. for a visitors violation at roughly 4:15 p.m.
Officers noticed a weapon contained in the car through the cease and known as for backup.
The Division reviews that through the preliminary investigation, it was discovered that the motive force, a 54-year-old man from Charlotte, had an excellent felony warrant out of Calhoun County for a weapons offense. He was additionally working the car with a revoked license.
The passenger, a 31-year-old feminine from Albion, was discovered to have an excellent felony warrant for stolen property in Eaton County and serval misdemeanor warrants. She was additionally in possession of methamphetamine and a weapon.
Officers searched the car and located a number of knives of differing sizes inside.
The motive force was arrested and handed off to Calhoun County for his excellent warrant. The passenger was arrested and lodged on the Jackson County Jail.
The Division says that the motive force and passenger can be charged with carrying hid weapons. The passenger may also be charged with possession of methamphetamine.
