LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — U.S. Sen. Elissa Slotkin (D. MI) known as the presidential pardon a “quirk of history that does not make sense in America for either party any longer,” saying that the facility needs to be revoked throughout a latest city corridor.

In an X put up, Slotkin says that President Trump is issuing pardons to “pay back favors.”

“Right now, the president is, of course, having this conversation with this woman related to the Epstein files, right? Ghislaine Maxwell.”

Slotkin provides that she has believed that the pardon has been controversial for the reason that Biden administration and earlier than.

“To me, it’s just this weird kind of, literally, get-out-of-jail-free card that I just think muddies the waters, and when you have a president who has a deep, deep problem with corruption, it just can be taken to such a dangerous degree.”
