"Simply devastation:” Grand Ledge man claims truck focused with hateful phrases

"Simply devastation:” Grand Ledge man claims truck focused with hateful phrases

GRAND LEDGE, Mich. (WLNS) — A person believes he’s a sufferer of a “targeted” crime after seeing his automobile painted with dangerous phrases, like “Never Should Have Been Born” and “Go Kill Yourself.” 

Ivan Pruden, a Grand Ledge resident, says the incident occurred exterior his house at 5 a.m. final Thursday.

“‘Go kill your self.’ ‘F*** You,’” stated Pruden. 

These had been a number of the phrases left on Pruden’s truck in brilliant yellow phrases final week, and Pruden says it’s left an uneasy feeling in his coronary heart. 

“Simply devastation. Simply did not really feel like being round anybody on the time,” stated Pruden.

Pruden says he instantly known as his mom and despatched her the disheartening photos. 

“The thing is, I don’t know who it would have been because I’ve barely talked to anyone,” said Pruden. “And it was telling me to go kill myself and that Grand Ledge hates me.”

Ivan’s mom, Mindy Junker, says she believes the assault was private.

“And due to the fact that it actually had Ivan’s name also spray-painted with those hateful words on it,” said Mindy Junker. “We do know for a fact that it was directly targeted towards him personally.”

Junker says her son has been a sufferer of harassment previously for his ADHD. 

“Kids don’t understand children with special needs,” stated Junker. “So he was all the time bullied, and you realize, it was one thing that we fought all by way of faculty, you realize, with youngsters being imply.”

Pruden has since spray-painted over the hateful messages, however says the ache continues to be there. 

“Because it’s still there,” said Pruden. “You just can’t see them.” 

Pruden says he’s additionally filed a police report with the Grand Ledge Police Division.
