LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — U.S. Sen. Elissa Slotkin of Michigan has invited Andrew Lennox, of Livingston County, to be her visitor at President Donald Trump’s Joint Speech in Washington D.C. on Tuesday.

Shortly after graduating, he enlisted within the Marines, the place he served as an infantryman and recruiter for 10 years and was deployed in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Syria.

Lennox began working as an administrative officer within the Major Care Division at VA in Ann Arbor on Dec. 2024. His job was to certify hours labored, guarantee VA professionals had the best credentials, and see that tax {dollars} weren’t wasted.

Nonetheless, he was fired by DOGE through e mail on Feb. 13.
