LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Newly-elected U.S. Senator Elissa Slotkin will serve on 4 committees within the 119th Congress after being sworn in on Friday.
Slotkin will serve on the Armed Companies; Agriculture, Diet and Forestry; Homeland Safety and Authorities Affairs; and Veterans’ Affairs committee within the 119th Congress, in line with a launch from her workplace.
Gary Peters, the opposite Senator from Michigan, at the moment serves because the chair of the Committee on Homeland Safety and Authorities Affairs. Former Sen. Debbie Stabenow, whose empty seat was gained by Slotkin in November, beforehand served on the Agriculture Committee.
These committee assignments mirror her earlier ventures within the U.S. Home of Representatives.
Slotkin beforehand served on the Armed Companies Committee in her three phrases within the Home, in addition to the Homeland Safety Committee and Agriculture Committee.
