Speaker Corridor talks growing police funding, Jan. 6 pardons

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS)— Matt Corridor, Michigan’s new Speaker of the Home, mentioned methods to help police and deputies throughout the state and the pardoning of Jan. 6 insurrectionists when he met with native legislation enforcement Wednesday afternoon.

Corridor says the GOP needs to give attention to funding police departments by guaranteeing officers are safer, in addition to defending victims of crime.

Below the brand new Republican management, Corridor says they plan to make modifications like eliminating ‘Good Time Credits’ a coverage that may shorten sentences of criminals only for not committing extra crimes throughout their time in jail.

He additionally says they wish to crack down on unlawful immigration.

“It’s not what the people of Michigan want. People of Michigan want and crime victims want assurance that people that commit violent crimes and serious crimes are behind bars for the time they’re sentenced,” stated Corridor.

“Nobody has signed as many executive orders as Trump. I mean, you wanna talk about the most transparent President?” stated Corridor.  “He said he was gonna do it and he did it, and it wasn’t like Biden where Biden said ‘I’m not going to pardon my family’  and then he pardons his whole family on the last day. He said he was gonna do it. He did it. The American people wanted that, and voted on it.”

Speaker Corridor says that he’s impressed with most of the issues President Trump has achieved up to now.
