A particular set of stamps is being issued to mark the sixtieth anniversary of veteran rock band The Who.
Royal Mail revealed particulars of 12 stamps which function photographs of a few of The Who’s hottest album covers and group photographs from a few of their reside performances.
The album covers are My Technology from 1965; Tommy from 1969; Who’s Subsequent from 1971; Quadrophenia from 1973; Who Are You from 1978; Face Dances from 1981; Infinite Wire from 2006; and Who from 2019.

A miniatures sheet options two group publicity photographs and two photographs of the band’s reside performances on the Marquee Membership in London in 1967 and the Kings Corridor in Belle Vue, Manchester, in 1973.
Roger Daltrey, Pete Townshend, John Entwistle and Keith Moon shaped The Who in 1964.
Inside 5 years, they went from performing membership exhibits to headlining the Woodstock pageant within the US and changing into the most important box-office draw on the earth.

Daltrey stated: “The artwork on the album sleeves was almost as important to the success of the record as the music. It’s great to be reminded of them.”
Townshend stated: “Stamp! Stamp! Stamp! It’s what I’ve done on stage all my life, sometimes in the air.
“Finally my stamping, and that of my buddy Roger, has been honoured correctly, and can assist letters, parcels and birthday playing cards journey by means of time and house, simply as we’ve.”
