Sir Keir Starmer has paid tribute to his brother Nick, who died on Boxing Day aged 60 after affected by most cancers.
The prime minister described his brother as a “wonderful man”, saying in an announcement: “He met all of the challenges life threw at him with braveness and good humour. We’ll miss him very a lot.
“I would like to thank all those who treated and took care of Nick. Their skill and compassion is very much appreciated.”
A spokesperson for Sir Keir added in an announcement: “It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Nick Starmer.
“Nick, 60, died peacefully on the afternoon of December 26 after battling most cancers. We ask for privateness for Nick’s wider household at the moment.”
The prime minister was resulting from go on vacation together with his household on Friday, however it’s understood he’ll now keep at house.
