Starmer ‘wanting in the direction of a greater, brighter future’ in Christmas message

Sir Keir Starmer has stated he will likely be “looking towards a better, brighter future” in his first Christmas message as prime minister.

The prime minister went on: “I’d like especially to thank those who will spend their Christmas serving others this year. In our NHS and emergency services, our Armed Forces and the churches and charities that will welcome every person this Christmas.

“As a result of I do know that this isn’t a simple time for everybody, and my ideas are with all those that are lonely this Christmas. Having a tricky time, lacking a liked one. You aren’t alone.

“As a result of as Christians rejoice the delivery of Jesus Christ, the Christmas story reminds all of us to achieve out to at least one one other. To take care of each other. And to take care of these round us.

“This Christmas, I will be hoping for peace, particularly in the Middle East as the birthplace of the Christmas story.

“I will be wanting in the direction of a greater, brighter future for each particular person and celebrating the enjoyment and marvel that Christmas brings.

“So, from my family to yours, I hope you have a very merry Christmas.”

Kemi Badenoch, the chief of the Opposition, has additionally shared a Christmas message.

Sir Ed stated: “Carers embody the Christmas spirit of love, selflessness and generosity.

“So I hope we are able to all take a while to consider them, and preserve them in our hearts.”
