LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — The Michigan Division of Transportation (MDOT) is beginning a street restore undertaking this week in Jackson County. M-50 (Brooklyn Street) will shut between Brooklyn Street and Riverside Street for “micro surface and joint repairs” beginning at present, June 23.
MDOT says there can be every day single-lane closures in each instructions of M-50 and advises looking for alternate routes as a consequence of delays.
Street building has been a serious level of concern throughout Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s tenure since she assumed workplace in 2019. In a information launch, Whitmer stated, “By the end of this construction season, we will have fixed, repaired or replaced nearly 24,500 lane miles of roads and 1,900 bridges.”
The work is claimed to lead to a smoother and safer driving floor on M-50. The undertaking is estimated to be accomplished Aug. 7, based on MDOT.
