Superior Placement examination success reaches report highs in Michigan

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — The variety of public-school college students in Michigan taking Superior Placement (AP) exams and performing properly on them has reached report highs.

AP lessons provide college students the chance to take college-level programs whereas nonetheless enrolled in highschool.

The Michigan Division of Training (MDE) stories that in 2025, a record-setting 65,906 Michigan college students took a number of AP exams, a 4.5% enhance from the earlier 12 months.

49,708 college students who took an AP in 2025 obtained a rating of three, 4, or 5 on a scale of 1-5, that means they’re certified, well-qualified, or extraordinarily certified.
