"The Faces of Hate" premieres on the Historic Howell Theater

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — A brand new documentary is diving right into a troublesome a part of Livingston County’s historical past—its connections to the Ku Klux Klan—with a private twist.

The movie is named “Faces of Hate,” and it premiered Thursday evening on the Historic Howell Theater, now streaming on Amazon Prime and Roku. Howell—and Livingston County as an entire—have historic ties to the KKK.

The movie follows the story of Jason Barker, a former extremist convicted in 2001 for assault and ethnic intimidation in opposition to a black man in Brighton, MI.
