She mentioned: “I smelt smoke, I used to be sleeping, and my canine alerted me that there was bother.

“My entire neighbourhood is gone.”

“It was a wonderful, distinctive place,” she added, smiling.

Requested how she might smile, she fought again tears and replied: “Well, there’s tomorrow you know.”
