PEWAMO-WESTPHALIA, Mich. (WLNS)—A mid-Michigan faculty is preserving a particular custom alive—the “Big Game” between the Pewamo-Westphalia Pirates and the Clinton County Particular Schooling Cougars.
Luke Pohl, former Pirates head coach and present CCRESA coach, says the sport has been happening for 13 years.

A Clinton County Cougar participant says that is his first time being on the court docket to play in opposition to the Pirates.

Brady Heckman, PW’s level and taking pictures guard, says the “Big Game” holds a particular place in his coronary heart.
“Playing this game, it just shows how much we build as a community,” stated Heckman. “As gamers, we benefit from the heck out of it. It is only a nice expertise, and it is a terrific bonding expertise for us too.”
