Three charged in 'disturbing' youngster, animal abuse case

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — A Genessee County courtroom has charged three folks in Flint with youngster neglect and animal abuse in what Sheriff Chris Swanson calls a “disturbing case.”

In a video shared on Fb, the sheriff studies Charles Ashbaker, 38, Kelly Walker, 29, and Dougal Nelson Jr., 47 are going through a litany of costs after deputies discovered a uncared for youngster together with lifeless and abused canines inside their residence.

Sheriff Swanson says the three have been present in a house in Flint on Mabel Ave.

Ashbaker, Walker and Nelson Jr. are locked up in Genesee County Jail in Flint.

Nelson Jr.’s costs embody:

Stolen property – $1000-$20,000

Possession of Methamphetamine/Ecstasy

Assaulting/Resisting/Obstructing a police officer

His bond has been set at $5,000. A possible trigger listening to has been scheduled for March 20.
