LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — It’s possible you’ll drive previous an uncommon variety of tractors in downtown Lansing this morning. That is as a result of Michigan farmers plan to protest the streets across the State Capitol for presidency overregulation of agriculture.
Protesters say the rally coincides with a Home Oversight Committee listening to on state regulation of agriculture from the Division of Atmosphere, Nice Lakes, and Vitality. They are saying the federal government has pointless restrictions, permits, and costs that price them money and time.
Reps. Luke Meerman (R-Coopersville) and Jennifer Wortz (R-Quincy), each farmers, will be part of the protesters.
The rally started at 8 a.m. and can proceed via 11 a.m.
