LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — A marketing campaign guide who allegedly conspired to illegally use nonprofit funds to help the Unlock Michigan poll query initiative will go to trial, Michigan Lawyer Common Dana Nessel introduced Monday.
Heather Lombardini, 47, of Okemos, was initially charged in February, will stand trial on rely of Uttering and Publishing and one rely of Forgery—each being 14-year felonies.

These costs come after the Division of Lawyer Common investigated a 2021 criticism alleging that former Michigan Senate Majority Chief Mike Shirkey and Lombardini, a guide with marketing campaign finance consulting group Vibrant Sparks Methods, illegally used Michigan! My Michigan!, a tax-exempt social welfare group, to fund the Unlock Michigan poll query initiative.
Because the treasurer of Michigan! My Michigan! Lombardini allegedly solicited and obtained contributions for the Unlock Michigan poll initiative, which might represent a violation of the Michigan Marketing campaign Finance Act.
Lombardini’s subsequent courtroom date has not but been set.
