LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — On Wednesday, two folks have been killed in a home fireplace in Tompkins Township in Jackson County.
Troopers from the Michigan State Police confirmed the deaths within the fireplace on the 6800 block of Maple Lane Highway earlier than 10:20 a.m. First responders say after they arrived on scene, the house was engulfed in flames.

After the fireplace was underneath management, a 46-year-old man and a 44-year-old girl have been discovered lifeless inside. Detectives imagine each have been the householders.
