
Airline Jap Airways has suspended operations, based on the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
The regional airline, which operated flights from six UK airports, has cancelled all its flights, and passengers who had booked with Jap have been instructed to not journey to airports.
A CAA assertion learn: “Eastern Airways, which operated regional services from airports across the United Kingdom, has suspended operations.
“All Jap Airways operated flights are actually cancelled. Subsequently, please don’t go to the airport as flights won’t be working.
“Eastern Airways customers are therefore urged to make their own alternative travel arrangements via other airlines, rail or coach operators.”
Jap Airways operated scheduled flights from London Gatwick, Humberside, Teesside Worldwide, Aberdeen, Wick and Newquay airports.
Selina Chadha, the CAA’s client and markets director, stated: “We urge passengers planning to fly with this airline to not go to the airport as all Jap Airways flights are cancelled.
“Eastern Airways customers should visit the Civil Aviation Authority’s website for the latest information.”
The suspension of operations follows reviews that the airline, which was based in 1997, is on the point of going into administration.
Jap Airways additionally operated constitution flights for sports activities groups, together with Premier League and Championship golf equipment.
Free journey for Jap Airways passengers
Passengers booked on Jap Airways flights, together with the airline’s workers, have been provided free journey on 28 and 29 October by a variety of practice corporations.
