LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — A union of round 2,000 nurses and healthcare professionals at UMH-Sparrow has formally voted to approve a brand new contract with the hospital—with 95 p.c of members voting sure.

The hospital and the Skilled Worker Council of Sparrow Hospital-Michigan Nurses Affiliation (PECSH-MNA) reached an settlement in precept final Tuesday after negotiating since August, averting a deliberate strike that will have begun Monday.
